History of technical school

About the establishment of the Tashkent Hydrometeorological Technical College:

            Tashkent Technical School of Hydrometeorology was established in 1948. According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 357 of August 20, 2003 and the order of the Center for Secondary Special and Vocational Education No. 16 of January 27, 2004 and the order of the Sheykhontohur district governor dated April 27, 2004 in the register 09-01856 order is digital and registered with number #01856 based on the issued certificate, the name of "Tashkent Hydrometeorological Technical College" was changed to "Tashkent Hydrometeorological Vocational College".   In accordance with paragraph 4 of the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-4896 dated November 17, 2020, the Tashkent Hydrometeorology Technical College was established on the basis of the Tashkent Vocational College of Hydrometeorology.  Currently, it operates under the jurisdiction of the Hydrometeorological Service Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan and is part of its organizational structure.

About the current activity of the technical school:

            Tashkent Hydrometeorological Technical College is the only educational institution in Central Asia.  The Charter of the Tashkent Hydrometeorological Technical School was approved by the order of the Hydrometeorological Service Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 62 T of February 19, 2021.  Currently, in the technical school "hydrometeorology", "hydrology", "communication and telecommunication in hydrometeorology", "geodesy, cartography and cadastre". prepares middle-level specialists in the fields of "ecology and environmental protection" and "seismology".  Teaching is conducted in Russian and Uzbek languages. In cooperation with the hydrometeorological service center, qualification requirements, sample curricula, and sample curricula were developed for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The Hydrometeorological Service Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan coordinates the work of the technical school on the methodological part and helps to improve the educational and material-technical base of the technical school at the expense of grants and international projects.

     

 About VMO to Technikum:

According to the resolution No. 10 of the 72nd session of the World Meteorological Organization of October 2020, the Tashkent Technical College of Hydrometeorology was granted the status of a Regional Training Center of the World Meteorological Organization and was extended for the next 8 years.
